Daily saving in living areas
- Preserve the sun’s heat by opening curtains during the day and close them before dark
- Close curtains, doors and blinds in evening and heated rooms
- Place heaters away from doors and windows
- Block off unused fireplaces
- Use automatic appliances/heaters which turn off and on as required
- Don’t switch on the heaters you’re not using
- Unplug all appliances or switched them off at the wall
- Seal off draughts
Bedrooms and study rooms savings
- Use an extra blanket in place of using electric blanket
- Keep all equipments switched off when you’re not using specially overnights and weekends
- Make sure that all the windows and doors closed properly in the night time when you use air-condition or heater and after as well

- Prefer, defrost food naturally instead of using electric appliances
- Use a microwave or toaster in place of oven or stovetop where possible
- If your dishwasher generates its own hot water, must use that function because its more efficient than using water from out source
- Don’t open the doors of oven too often – every time its drops temperature
- Place your fridge and freezer where plenty of air can circulate around it
- Avoid to place fridge and freezer near to stove or oven, or in direct sun light
- Use cold water for cooking and cattle
Cooling and air-conditioning savings
- In hot season, central air condition and heat pumps can be the largest source of energy consumption, so use it wisely
- Keep your doors and windows close properly to reduce the loss of cooling
- Take a good care of your unit and keep the filters clean
- Reduce the usage of heat producing appliances such as computers, printers and fax machines where possible
