Daily saving in living areas

  • Preserve the sun’s heat by opening curtains during the day and close them before dark
  • Close curtains, doors and blinds in evening and heated rooms
  • Place heaters away from doors and windows
  • Block off unused fireplaces
  • Use automatic appliances/heaters which turn off and on as required
  • Don’t switch on the heaters you’re not using
  • Unplug all appliances or switched them off at the wall
